Settings Search: Type what you are looking to change and if it is in Settings it will appear

Apple ID Management: Manage your Apple ID – change your account name and photo, contact information, password and security settings, select the iCloud features you want to use, manage iCloud storage and set up iCloud+ features, review and manage the trusted devices that use your Apple ID and more

Wi-Fi: Use Wi-Fi settings to set up and manage your Wi-Fi connection

Bluetooth: Use Bluetooth settings to connect to other Bluetooth devices. Bluetooth lets you make short-range wireless connections (up to 10 metres) between your Mac and devices such as mobile phones and peripherals

Network: A network location is a group of settings for a specific network port (your computer’s Ethernet port, modem port or wireless networking port, for example). The Location menu in Network Preferences lets you save and quickly switch between multiple network locations

Notifications: Use Notifications settings to specify when you don’t want to be disturbed by notifications and to control how notifications are shown in Notification Centre

Sound: Use Sound settings to change sound effects, adjust the volume and select a different sound input or output device

Focus: Use Focus settings to set up a Focus that can minimise distractions by pausing and silencing all notifications or allowing notifications only from certain people or apps

Screen Time: Set time limits for apps and websites for yourself or your children

General: Use click Software Update on the right to update your macOS software and set whether your Mac checks for and downloads new updates automatically

Appearance: Use Appearance settings to change the overall look of macOS and choose how you use scroll bars

Accessibility: For vision, hearing or mobility difficulties

iOS Control Center: Use Control Centre settings to choose which items to include in Control Centre and which items appear in the menu bar

Siri and Spotlight: Use Siri settings to choose a language and voice, turn voice feedback on or off, and manage which apps show Siri Suggestions based on how you use the app. Use Spotlight settings to change the categories that appear in Spotlight search results and exclude specific folders or disks from Spotlight searches

Desktop and Dock: Change the appearance of the Dock and select items to show in the menu bar and in Control Centre

Wallpaper: change the picture or colour shown on your desktop (the background area of the screen)

Displays: Adjust resolution and brightness and set other options

Privacy and Security: Manage the information your Mac makes available to others across the internet or on a network

Screen Saver: Use Screen Saver settings to hide the desktop when you’re away from your Mac or if you need extra privacy

Battery: Use Battery settings to set options that control your Mac laptop’s battery and energy use. How you set these options can help you optimise the lifespan of your battery

Lock Screen: Always lock the screen of your Mac when it’s unattended in a public space. Shift + Command + Q

Login Password: Use Login Password settings to change the password you use to log in to your Mac

Users and Groups: If your Mac has multiple users, you should set up an account for each person so each can personalise settings and options without affecting the others

Passwords Settings: view, add or edit the usernames and passwords or passkeys you saved for websites (a passkey uses Touch ID or Face ID to identify you)

Internet Accounts: Add your internet accounts from Google, Microsoft, Yahoo and other providers, so you can use them in your Mac apps. The iCloud account you set up in Apple ID settings also appears in internet accounts settings. For each account, you can select the account features you want to use, such as Mail, Contacts, Calendar and more

Game Center: Customise your Game Center account by changing – your nickname and who can view your profile and allowing friends to find you and more

Keyboard: Set options for keyboard and function keys, keyboard backlighting, keyboard shortcuts and more

Mouse Settings: Change the way your mouse responds as you move it so you can work more comfortably – mouse tracking, double-click and scrolling speeds can be adjusted

Trackpad Settings: Change how your trackpad works. For example, you can change how fast the onscreen pointer moves when you move your finger across the trackpad and customise the gestures you use with your trackpad

Printers and Scanners: Set up printers and scanners, check ink levels, monitor print jobs and more
