General and other main settings

General: This setting is a summary of your iPhone/iPad – ‘About’ it (where you can change the name), Software Update, Storage to Reset iPad/iPhone and even Shut Down at the bottom

iOS Control Centre: Choose which items to include in Control Centre – See Included Controls and More Controls. Open Control Centre by swiping down from top-right edge where the iPhone has face ID or from the bottom where it has a home button

Display and Brightness: Change the appearance so it is either Light or Dark, the text size is larger, brightness adjusts automatically and change ‘Auto Lock’ to a few minutes so the screen stays on for longer when you do not touch it or look at it

Home Screen and App Library: On iPhone/iPad choose to add newly downloaded apps to ‘Home Screen’ or ‘App Library Only’ and show notification badges in App Library. On iPad Show App Library in Dock and Suggested and Recent Apps in Dock and use large app icons as wanted. On iPhone you can also add Search to Home Screen

Multitasking and Gestures (iPad only): Turn multitasking off or allow ‘Split view and Slide Over’. In Gestures turn on Productivity and Four and Five Finger Gestures as wanted

Accessibility sections: Three sections to help with Vision, Physical and Motor skills, and Hearing plus ‘General’ for Siri and more

Wallpaper: Tap + Add New Wallpaper to change

Siri and Search: Set up Siri to listen for ‘Hey Siri’ or press side button for Siri. Choose a voice for Siri and more

Apple Pencil (iPad only): Enable ‘Only Draw with Apple Pencil’ so your fingers will be used for scrolling instead. Set pencil gestures

Face ID (iPhone)/Touch ID (iPad) and Passcode: Decide what to use Face ID/Touch ID for, add fingerprints (iPad), change passcode and more
