Top – Search, Apple ID and connections

Settings Search: Tap what you are looking to change and if it is in Settings, it will appear

Apple ID, iCloud, Media and Purchases: Manage your Apple ID – change your account name and photo, contact information, password and security settings, select the iCloud features you want to use, manage iCloud storage and set up iCloud+ features, review and manage the trusted devices that use your Apple ID and more

Airplane Mode: Turning on Airplane Mode, turns off all radios (mobile network, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth) except for Bluetooth. If you turn off Bluetooth while you’re in Airplane Mode, your device will remember that and will turn off Bluetooth the next time that you turn on AirPlane Mode

Wi-Fi: Turn on Wi-Fi to set up and manage your Wi-Fi connection – and join known networks automatically

Bluetooth: Use Bluetooth settings to connect to other Bluetooth devices. Bluetooth lets you make short-range wireless connections (up to 10 metres) between your iPhone/iPad and car stereo, headphone, hearing aid, speaker and more. Tip. To improve the sound, specify the device type – tap the ‘i’ button next to the name of the device. Tap Device Type, then choose the type of device

Mobile Data (iPhone unless iPad with SIM): Turn ON to allow data from the mobile network for email, web browsing (apps) and push notifications. Turn OFF Data Roaming (in Mobile Data Options) if in a foreign country where there is a charge you don’t want to pay for mobile data. Rely on WiFi only. Tip. A push notification is an alert (typically a pop-up or other message) generated by an application when the application is not open, notifying the user of a new message, update, social media post, etc.

Personal Hotspot (iPhone unless iPad with SIM): Provide internet access via the mobile network by making your phone into a router. Useful when Wifi broadband service is not working
